Stankoven Signs with Stars

Former Yale Hockey Academy forward Logan Stankoven has signed a National Hockey League (NHL) Entry Level Contract with the Dallas Stars, after they selected him in the second round, 47th overall in the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Stankoven spent one season in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) playing for the Yale U15 Prep team. Stankoven led the CSSHL U15 Prep division with 57 goals, and finished third in league scoring with 90 points in 30 games.

At the end of the 2017/18 season, the Kamloops Blazers would select the Yale forward fifth overall in the 2018 Western Hockey League (WHL) Bantam Draft. Stankoven has spent the last two seasons with the Blazers, tallying 48 points in 59 games in 2019/20, and 10 points in 6 games in 2020/21.
