The Melville Millionaires have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes Noah Belles-Isles and Brendan Olson ahead of the 2023/24 Saskatchewan Junior Hockey League (SJHL) season.
A defenseman from Levis, QC, Belles-Isles joined the Ontario Hockey Academy Prep team for the 2022/23 Eastern U18 Prep season. In 16 games he would finish first among his teams defensemen with 3 goals, 11 assists and 14 points in 16 games.
Olson has spent the last five seasons in the CSSHL, originally joining the league in 2018/19. That season the Sturgeon County, AB forward would record 1 assist in 29 U15 Prep games with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (PCHA). The following year Olson would return to the PCHA U15 Prep team, scoring 5 goals and 12 assists in 30 games. The 2020/21 U16 Prep season would be Olson’s last with PCHA as he tallied two goals and two assists in five games.
In 2021/22 Olson returned to his home province of Alberta to play for the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) U18 Prep team, finishing with 11 goals and 16 assists in 33 games. This season Olson played for the Okanagan Hockey Academy U18 Prep team, recording 4 goals and 11 assists in 17 games.
