GAME DAY RECAP: March 3, 2023

Delta Hockey Academy (6) vs BWC Academy (3) U18 Prep

Zachary Pantelakis (2G, 1A) and Peyton Mithumuangneau traded first period goals before Michael Gallant scored the lone second period marker as BWC Academy led 2-1 heading into the third. However, Delta would score five goals in the third as Linden Burrett (1G, 1A), Jack Bakker (2G, 1A), Jakob Oreskovic (1G, 3A) and Pantelakis all found the back of the net. Brendan Gee (51/54) made 51 saves in the win. 

North Shore Warriors (2) vs Delta Hockey Academy Black (5) U15 Prep

Anthony Drover (2G) and Jordan Nguyen (2G) scored 1:02 apart and Nguyen added another late first period goal as Delta Black led 3-0 after 20. Aneil Dhesi scored the lone second period goal and Lukas Hoff brought North Shore within one midway through the third. But Waylon Gardipy (1G, 1A) and Drover would each add goals in the last 1:30 of the game to secure the Delta Black 5-2 win. 

RHA Kelowna (2) vs Yale Hockey Academy (6) U18 Prep

Savin Virk (3G, 2A) and Chase Valliant (1G, 3A) scored 12 and 33 seconds in respectively as Yale charged out to a 2-0 lead. Cohen Massey would add a first period goal of his own before Cameron Schmidt got RHA Kelowna on the board minutes later. Virk and Zhenya Miles would trade second period goals before Ben Kindel (1G, 3A) extended the Yale lead late in the period. Virk would complete the hattrick with an empty net goal with just two seconds remaining in the game. 

OHA Edmonton (2) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (9) U18 Prep

Adam Belzil (2G, 2A) and Ty Pratte (2G, 2A) each had four points while Caleb Lepitre (3A) chipped in with three as Prairie defeated OHA Edmonton 9-2. Michael Malinowski (33/35) made 33 saves in net for the win while Jace Bymoen (2A), Ian George (2A) and Jacob Michelson (2A) each added two assists. Julien Maze (2G) scored both goals for OHA Edmonton in the loss. 

Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (3) vs Delta Hockey Academy (4/OT) U17 Prep

Kaleb Hartmann (2G) would give Delta the lead after 20 before he traded goals with Riley Nadell in the second. Keeghan Dunn (1G, 2A) would extend the Delta lead early in the third but Genrikh Rozhkov would respond for CDA just 46 seconds later. Max Jackson would tie the game and force OT where Jovan Sandhu (1G, 1A) would score the game winning goal for Delta. 

Shawnigan Lake School (4) vs North Shore Warriors (0) U18 Prep

Mathis Perron (37/37) made 37 saves to shutout North Shore in a 4-0 win. After a scoreless first George Stavrianeas and Matt Patry would score in the second while Cadence Stanley and Wyatt Taron would find the back of the net in the third. Ayden Fenske (46/49) made 46 saves in the loss. 

RHA Winnipeg (3) vs Edge School (9) U15 Prep

Cruz Pvao (4G) had a four goal game and Ryan Boyce (2A) Landon DuPont (1G, 2A), Joaquin Geras (2A), Zach Olsen (2A) and Brendan Rudolph (2A) all recorded two assists as Edge beat RHA Winnipeg 9-3. Adam Courchesne (20/23) made 20 saves to earn the win. Trystan Hunter, Maddox Malmquist and Tyler Wamboldt scored for RHA Winnipeg in the loss. 

Shawnigan Lake School (1) vs Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (3) U15 Prep

Kody Pham scored 2:07 into the first and Nigel Alberts responded with the lone second period goal as the third period started tied 1-1. Kaydin Halladay would score 7:56 into the third and Roman Lavery would add an empty net goal with 15 seconds left to secure a 3-1 PCHA win. Joshua Nuttall (35/36) made 35 saves in net for the win. 

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (4) vs Shawnigan Lake School (2) U17 Prep

Aangid Manhas and Nick Scott scored less than two minutes apart but a goal 1:02 later by Brendyn Van Oene saw PCHA lead 2-1 heading into the second. Kansys Seney would extend the lead in the second before Elliot Compton brought Shawnigan back with one in the third. But Noah Gebicki (1G, 1A) would score with 39 seconds left to secure the PCHA victory. Koen Cleaver (27/29) made 27 saves in the win.
