The Portland Winterhawks have signed Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) student-athlete David Hoy to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Undrafted at the 2022 WHL Draft, Hoy has spent the last four seasons in the CSSHL with OHA. The Fort St. John, BC forward joined the program in 2020/21, tallying 11 points in 9 U15 games. The following U15 Prep season he scored 10 goals to go along with 14 assists in 29 games.
Last season Hoy finished second among OHA U17 Prep skaters with 37 points in 31 games. His 18 goals were tied for best on his team.
This season Hoy has 8 goals and 13 assists in 26 U18 Prep games with OHA.
