Shawnigan Lake School Female U18 Prep forward Abby Whitworth has committed to the University of Toronto for the 2023/24 season.
The Port Moody, BC forward has spent the last three seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the Shawnigan Female U18 Prep team. During the 201/22 season Whitworth would finish second in team and fourth in league scoring with 42 points in 24 games.
This season Whitworth would tally a division best 25 goals while finishing second in league and team scoring with 59 points in 29 games. She would lead all skaters in playoff points, recording 12 in 5 games, as Shawnigan Lake made it to the 2023 CSSHL Female U18 Prep Western Championship Finals, ultimately losing in overtime.
The University of Toronto competes in the Ontario University Athletics (OUA) East Conference in U SPORTS.
