University of Maine Lands Female Prep Division Leading Scorer

The Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) Female U18 Prep 2022/23 season scoring leader Mikayla Boarder has committed to the University of Maine for the 2023/24 season.

Boarder has spent the last four seasons in the CSSHL with the Shawnigan Lake School Female U18 Prep team. She joined the team for the 2019/20 season, finishing with 19 points in 24 games.

During the 2021/22 season the Tri-cities, WA forward led all CSSHL Female U18 Prep skaters with 46 points in 24 games. She would produce 12 points in 4 playoff games as Shawnigan made it to the semi-finals of the 2022 CSSHL Western Championships.

This season Boarder would once again lead all skaters in points with 60 in 30 games. Her 41 assists were also a division high. She would add five points in five playoff games as Shawnigan lost in overtime in the finals at the 2023 CSSHL Western Championships.

Boarder’s 76 regular season assists rank second all time among CSSHL Female U18 Prep skaters, while her 125 points ranks third. Her 49 goals, 76 assists and 125 points are all tops among American born players in the CSSHL Female U18 Prep division.

Located in Orono, ME, the University of Maine is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Hockey East Conference.
