Saints Add Alberta Trio

The Spruce Grove Saints have added a trio of Alberta Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes for the 2022/23 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) season.

A defenseman from Woking, AB, Morgan Brady spent the last three seasons in the CSSHL with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). Brady would join NAX in 2019/20, tallying 1 goals and 5 assists in 25 U15 Prep games. He would score one goal and two assists in three U16 Prep games the following year at the U16 Prep level. Brady would finish his CSSHL career with 5 goals and 22 assists in 31 U18 Prep games during the 2021/22 season, a season which saw him play 5 games for the Saints as an affiliate player.

A four-year CSSHL student-athlete with Edge School, Keifer Miller joined the league in 2018/19 at the U15 level, tallying 15 goals and 21 assists in 28 games. The Banff, AB forward would record 9 goals and 17 assists in 27 U15 Prep games the following season before registering 5 goals and 2 assists in 5 U16 Prep games in 2020/21. Miller would finish the 2021/22 U18 Prep season with 12 goals and 18 assists in 30 games, while scoring once in 3 games as an affiliate player with the Saints.

A teammate of Millers the last three seasons, Carter Oakenfold spent four years at Edge School. During the 2018/19 and 2019/20 U15 Prep campaigns Oakenfold would register 36 points in 59 games. The Calgary, AB forward would add 2 goals and 3 assists in 5 U16 Prep games the following season, before finishing fourth in team scoring with 17 goals and 22 assists in 35 U18 Prep games in 2021/22. Oakenfold affiliated in three AJHL games with the Okotoks Oilers during the 2021/22 season.
