The Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) captured their second straight Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) U15 Western Championship with an 11-0 win over Edge School.
NAX outshot Edge 62-20 , scoring 6 goals in the first period. Teagen Bouchard (2G, 3A) and Kyle Denis (2G, 2A) scored 18 seconds apart before Bouchard scored again midway through the period. Easton Arndt (1G, 2A) and Denis then scored 14 seconds apart, with Will Kelts (2G, 1A) adding a goal 37 seconds later.
Brady Ondrus, Bronsyn Mouille (1G, 1A) and Kaysun Brunham (1G, 1A) scored in the second while Kelts and Brady Ondrus (2G) added third period goals to round out the scoring.
Dawson Sheehan (20/20) made 20 saves for the shutout.
NAX won both the U15 and U15 Prep Western Championships in 2023, repeating the feat again in 2024. This was the programs 11th CSSHL Championship.
