Former North Shore Warriors student-athlete Tanner Komzak has committed to the University of North Dakota for the 2023/24 season.
Komzak joined the Warriors for the 2017/18 Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) U16 Prep season. In 33 games the North Vancouver, BC defenseman recorded 4 goals and 7 assists.
In 2021/22 Komzak joined the Whitecourt Wolverines of the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL). He would finish that season with 2 goals and 6 assists in 58 games.
2022/23 was a breakout season for Komzak as he finished fifth amongst all AJHL defensemen with 52 points in 60 games. His 12 goals were a Wolverines team high among defensemen, while his 52 points were third amongst all Wolverines skaters.
Located in Grand Forks, ND, the University of North Dakota is an NCAA Division I program competing in the National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC).
