The Calgary Hitmen have signed Carson Wetsch to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreements (SPA) after being selected in the first round, 12th overall, in the 2021 WHL Draft on December 9.
Wetsch is in his second Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) season, and second with BWC Academy. In 14 U18 Prep games the North Vancouver, BC forward has 12 goals and 10 assists this season, after tallying 7 goals and 6 assists in 5 U15 Prep games last year.
In 2019/20 Wetsch played for the West Van U15 team, finishing second in the league in goals (31) and finishing first in assists (46) and points (77). That year West Van would capture a CSSHL U15 League Championship.
