Pacific Coast Hockey Academy Blue (3) vs St. George’s School (8) U17 Prep
An early two goal spark from St. George’s set the Saints in the right direction. Only 25-seconds separated Brendan Morgan (2G) and Noah Chen’s goals. Kamloops Blazers prospect Lucas Benn (3G) would later add another for St. George’s before Owen Hentschel scored late in the first to break St. George’s chain. Madden Cruickshank would score one early for PCHA Blue to make it a one goal contest but Morgan would have an answer for that soon after for his second of the afternoon. St. George’s would run away with the match in the third with Benn completing his hat-trick in the first half of the frame. This would be shortly followed by an individual effort by Sachin Sidhu (1G, 1A) for his third of the campaign. Imaree Dhaliwal (50/53) also managed to stop 50-shots for St. George’s en route to an 8-3 victory.
Northern Alberta Xtreme Blue (9) vs OHA Edmonton (2) U17 Prep
Kyle Dodd (3G, 1A) recorded a hat-trick and led all skaters with four points as NAX Blue defeated OHA Edmonton 9-2. Davis Glenn (3A) and Riley Thorpe (1G, 2A) each had three point games while Kai Zurowski (34/36) made 34 saves for the win. Kadin Bilajbegovic (2A) set-up Ryder Naim for both OHA Edmonton goals.
Edge School Gold (4/SO) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme White (3) U17 Prep
Ben Deacon (2G) opened the scoring for NAX White but Kesler Morrow countered for Edge Gold just 51 seconds later. AJ Tarnowski would score 33 seconds into the second and Miles Copeland (1G, 1A) would extend the Edge Gold lead 4:12 later. Deacon would bring NAX White within one before Hubert Clarke tied the game 38 seconds later. After a scoreless OT and SO Clayton Candy was the lone shooter to find the back of the net and Holden Murphy (42/45) stopped all three NAX White shooters as Edge Gold won 4-3.
Edge School (7) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U18 Prep
A busy first period saw Logan Murray (1G, 1A), Owen Mastroianni (2G, 1A) and Brayden Schwartz score for Edge, while Jordan Duguay and Jack Toogood (1G, 1A) responded for NAX. Aden Bouchard, Landon DuPont (1G, 1A) and Leim Smith scored three in-a-row for Edge before Riley Boychuk got one back for NAX late in the second. Presley Kerner and Reis Nyland would bring NAX within one but a shorthanded goal from Mastroianni would secure the Edge victory.
RHA Winnipeg (12) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (2) U15 Prep
RHA Winnipeg outshot PMHA 73-22 en route to a 12-2 victory Wednesday. Cohen Lewko (1G, 5A) and Jaxon Sedor (1G, 4A) paced the offence while Max George (3G) recorded a hat-trick. Xiamen Evans (1G, 1A), Forrest Karlson (1G, 1A) and Cole Landreville (2A) each played a role in both PMHA goals.
Indigenous Sports Academy (2) vs Prairie Hockey Academy White (5) U17 Prep
Griffin Horne and Kale Pratte (2G) scored first period goals and Pratte added a power play marker in the second as PHA White led 3-0 heading into the third. Austin Gammon (1G, 2A) and Rylan Emigh would extend the lead in the third before Tanner Demarais-Corrigal and Elijah Constant broke the Georgi Milanov (19/21) shutout bid late. Defenseman Ryland Molde (3A) had three assists in the win.
Edge School Gold (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme Blue (6) U17 Prep
Rory Frew opened the scoring before Grady Wedman tied the game 40 seconds later. Reed Reschny would re-give Edge Gold the lead 31 seconds after that but Riley Thorpe (2G, 1A) would score the equaliser heading into the second. Ethan Buhler would score the go ahead goal in the second and Thorpe, Jake MacDonald and Mats Lajoie (1G, 3A) would add third period tallies as NAX Blue scored five unanswered goals en route to a 6-2 win.
OHA Edmonton (2) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme White (6) U17 Prep
Kasen Harrold (1G, 1A) scored a first period goal before Gavin Faul (1G, 1A) and Tristen Bailey (4G) added second period markers for NAX White. But Rylan Davis and Carter Keca scored 2:01 apart late in the second to bring OHA Edmonton within one heading into the third. However, the third period would belong to Bailey as he recorded three straight goals to secure an NAX White 6-2 win.
OHA Edmonton (7) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (5) U18 Prep
Kayden Lemire (1G, 1A), Spencer Brazel, and Clarke Schaefer all scored first period goals as OHA Edmonton grabbed a 3-0 lead over their rivals. Luke Powell would get NAX on the board in the second before Hunter Yanick and Jager Gugyelka traded goals. The third period would be dominated by defensemen as Daxon Rudolph, Brek Liske and Ryan Gower scored for NAX, while Radislav Dimitrov and Ethan Makokis countered for OHA Edmonton in a 7-5 win.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) vs Calgary International Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
After a scoreless first Zee Jamal, Mason Moran (1G, 1A) and Calder Hutt scored second period goals for CIHA. Noah Milford and Gabriel Iervella (1G, 1A) would score 1:12 apart in the third to extend the lead to 5-0. Ty Wasyluk (2G) would break the Erich Baxter (21/23) shutout bid with a shorthanded goal with 2:50 remaining, and add a second goal with 49 seconds left.
