Funk, Rougeau Sign in WHL

Koy Funk and Ryker Rougeau have signed Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreements with their respective WHL teams.

A fourth round pick, 77th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft by the Calgary Hitmen, Funk joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2022/23 CSSHL U15 Prep season. The Portage la Prairie, MB forward would finish tied for the team lead with 20 goals while his 45 points in 30 games were second on the team. This year Funk has played five games for the RHA Winnipeg U18 Prep team, tallying five points.

A forward from Grand Forks, BC, Rougeau played the 2022/23 CSSHL U17 Prep season with RHA Kelowna, tallying 38 points in 30 games. Undrafted at the 2022 WHL Draft, Rougeau signed with the Tri-City Americans after producing four points in six U18 Prep games so far this season with Pacific Coast Hockey Academy.
