Fairmont San Juan Capistrano 16U team will be attending three Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) U17 Prep showcases during the 2023/24 season.
Located in San Juan Capistrano, CA, just outside of Anaheim, Fairmont Hockey will attend the following CSSHL U17 Prep showcases as a guest member program:
- October 6-9, 2023, Calgary, AB
- January 11-14, 2024, Delta, BC
- February 2-5, 2024, Winnipeg, MB
Founded in 2021, the Fairmont Hockey program currently consists of three teams with the 16U Prep team head coached by Dean Caban and former NHLer Kevin Bieksa.
“Fairmont is always looking for high-level competition to push our athletes, allowing them to fulfill their hockey-related goals. The CSSHL provides highly competitive like-minded programs that value student-athletes. We are excited to be one of the first California team’s to compete in the CSSHL. With many of our coaches, including Kevin Bieksa and Dean Caban having ties to the Vancouver area and the CSSHL, this is a fantastic opportunity for our program,” added Dack Petersen, Fairmont’s Hockey Program General Manager.
“We are excited to have Fairmont Hockey attend CSSHL events this season as we continue to explore the potential new market in California,” said CSSHL Chief Operating Officer Kevin Goodwin.
Outside of the CSSHL, Fairmont Hockey competes in the Anaheim Ducks High School Hockey League.
