VAUGHAN, ON – Brooks McLean (East Haddam, CT) stopped 27-of-28 shots fired his way as the Elite Hockey Program (Guilford, CT) captured the 2020 World Sport School Challenge U16 Division Championship with a 5-1 victory over the Edge School (Calgary, AB) on Sunday.
Dakota Spear (Fairbanks, AK) led the way offensively with a goal and two helpers, while Logan Nickerson (East Haddam, CT), Evan Smutney (Watertown, CT), Kai Konstantino (Ivoryton, CT) and Brady Schultz (Monroe, CT) rounded out the scoring.
Caden Steinke (Calgary, AB) had the lone goal of the game for Edge, which got 26 saves from netminder Zachary Onyskiw (Edmonton, AB).
