Dates Announced, Tickets to go on Sale for 2024 CSSHL Western Championships

The Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) announced today that tickets for the 2024 CSSHL Western Championships will go on sale Friday, February 2, 2024 at 10am PST.

The event takes place March 4-17, 2024 in Penticton, B.C. and will see a single champion crowned in the U15, U15 Prep, U18 Prep and Female Prep divisions. The U17 Prep division will be sorted into three tiers, with each tier seeing a champion crowned.

This will be the eighth time the City of Penticton has hosted the CSSHL Western Championships event. This event provides CSSHL member programs and its staff and student-athletes, aged 13-18, with valuable opportunities and experience.

It was announced back in March of 2023 that the CSSHL and its partners Okanagan Hockey Group, OVG360, Travel Penticton and the City of Penticton reached an agreement for a 10-year agreement (five years, with an additional five-year renewal clause) to host the Western Championships beginning in March 2024.

The 2023 CSSHL Western Championships, which took place in Penticton from March 6-19, 2023 and featured 86 teams and roughly 1,900 players and staff from the four Western Canadian provinces and the state of Idaho, had an economic impact of $3.337 million in Penticton.

“We are excited to once again have Okanagan Hockey Group partner with OVG360 to bring the CSSHL Western Championships back to Penticton,” said Kevin Goodwin, Chief Operating Officer of the CSSHL. “The support we receive from the City of Penticton, Travel Penticton, and the Western Hockey League allows us to put on a first-class event that highlights the very best in education-based hockey, while providing a great championship atmosphere and experience for our member programs to conclude their seasons.”
