CSSHL graduate Davis commits to Denver

Canadian Sport School Hockey League graduate Matthew Davis has committed to attend and play NCAA hockey at the University of Denver.

Davis, 17, attended the Edge School during the 2017-18 season, posting a record of 11-6-0, with a 2.31 goals-against average, .918 save-percentage and three shutouts.

During the 2018 BDO CSSHL Championships, the Calgary, Alta. product went 2-1-0 with a 3.67 goals-against average and .908 save-percentage.

Davis is currently in his rookie season with the Spruce Grove Saints. He has appeared in 22 games and ranks seventh in the AJHL in wins (16), third in goals-against average (1.95), seventh in save-percentage (.917) and second in shutouts (2).

The University of Denver’s men’s ice hockey program competes in the NCAA Division I National Collegiate Hockey Conference (NCHC). They have won seven NCAA National Championships, the latest in 2017.
