CSSHL Announces 2022/23 Western Division Schedule Dates

The Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) released the schedule today for the 2022/23 CSSHL Western Divisions, which is set to start September 17, 2022.

The 2022/23 season will see the return of Coeur d’Alene Hockey Academy (Coeur d’Alene, Idaho) after a two-year hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic, as well the addition of Indigenous Sports Academy (Saskatoon, SK) at the U17 Prep division.

The four western provinces will all be represented this year at the Female U18 Prep level as 12 teams from 10 different CSSHL member programs will compete in the 2022/23 season.

With the return of Coeur d’Alene and the addition of Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (Pilot Mound, MB) the U18 Prep division now sits at a total of 19 teams competing across the four western provinces and one state (Idaho) in the U.S.A.

With the additions of BWC Academy (Burnaby, BC), Indigenous Sports Academy, Northern Alberta Xtreme (Devon, AB) and OHA Edmonton (Edmonton, AB), 17 teams from B.C., Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Idaho will face-off this season at the U17 Prep level.

The U16 Prep will see 11 teams from the western provinces battle for a league championship.

The second largest division in the CSSHL, 17 teams from all four western provinces will compete at the U15 Prep level.

The U15 division sits at an even 10 teams with 7 B.C. teams and 3 Alberta.

The CSSHL regular season will see divisions conclude March 3-5, 2023 ahead of the annual CSSHL Championships.

The CSSHL Western Championships will take place in March 2023 in Penticton, BC. Full playoff schedules will be released at a later time.
