The Tri-City Americans have signed Merrek Arpin to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA).
Arpin has spent the past three seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg.
The Winnipeg, MB defenseman joined RHA Winnipeg for the 2019/20 U15 Prep season, recording 9 points in 27 games. He would tally four points in just two U15 Prep games the following season, before scoring 7 goals and 14 assists in 26 U18 Prep games during the 2021/22 campaign.
Arpin would suit up for Team Manitoba at the 2021 WHL Cup, recording one assist in five games.
Tri-City originally selected Arpin in the third round, 49th overall in the 2021 WHL Draft.
