Pacific Coasts Rocky Nordvie Receives 2020 Premier’s Awards

Pacific Coast Hockey Academy (PCHA) student-athlete Rocky Nordvie is one of 30 British Columbia athletes being honoured with the 2020 Premier’s Awards for Indigenous Youth Excellence in Sport.

The award is presented by the Indigenous Sport, Physical Activity and Recreation Council (I·SPARC) and the Province of British Columbia. The award recognizes Indigenous athletes under 25 years of age who have achieved excellence in performance sport and are regarded for their leadership qualities both on and off the field of play.

Nordvie, who is in his first season with PCHA U16 Prep team, is a member of the shíshálh Nation. Before joining PCHA he was he was homeschooled in Sechelt, in the Sunshine Coast Regional District. Nordvie recorded eight points in five games this season.
