A trio of Okanagan Hockey Academy (OHA) Female U18 Prep student-athletes have committed to Mount Royal University for the 2023/24 season.
Julia Duke joined OHA for the 2019/20 Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) Female U17 Prep season. In 24 games the Emerald Park, SK forward recorded 12 points. She would remain with the OHA Female U17 Prep team the following season, tallying two points in six games.
In 2021/22 Duke would suit up for the OHA Female U18 Prep team finishing with 18 points in 20 games. This season Duke would lead all OHA Female U18 Prep skaters with 16 goals and 31 points in 30 games. She would add five points in three playoff games as OHA made the semi-finals of the 2023 CSSHL Western Championships.
A defenseman from Okotoks, AB, Jordynne Hojnocki joined OHA for the 2022/23 Female U18 Prep season. Hojnocki would finish the campaign with 12 points before adding 3 points in 3 playoff games.
Gabby Lindsay joined OHA with Duke in 2019/20, recording 18 points in 24 Female U17 Prep games. The following season she would add three points in nine Female U18 Prep games.
The Penticton, BC forward would return to the OHA Female U18 Prep team in 2021/22 and 2022/23, recording 20 points in both seasons, playing in 24 and 28 games respectfully.
