Moravec Commits to Minnesota State University

Former Edge School student-athlete Brett Moravec has committed to Minnesota State University for the 2023/24 season.

The Airdrie, AB forward spent two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with Calgary, AB based Edge School. Moravec joined the program in 2016/17 for the U15 Prep season, recording 13 points in 30 games.

The Prince Albert Raiders would select Moravec in the 2018 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft in the fifth round, 97th overall. After a year hiatus from the CSSHL, Moravec would return to Edge for the 2018/18 U18 Prep season. He would finish second in team scoring with 36 points in 32 games.

Moravec would join the Okotoks Oilers for the 2019/20 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) season, recording 13 points in 50 games. He would tally 12 points in 15 AJHL games the following season with the Calgary Canucks.

Located in Mankato, MN,  Minnesota State University is an NCAA Division I program competing in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA) conference.
