Mercyhurst University has added Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) netminder Erika Lind for the 2023/24 season.
Lind has spent the last two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the NAX Female U18 Prep team. During the 2021/22 season the Edmonton, AB netminder would post a 9-8-1-2 record with 1 shutout and a 2.84 GAA and .897 SV%. She would play two playoff games, losing both, but finish with a .952 SV% and 2.05 GAA on 83 shots against.
This season Lind was a nominee for the division’s Top Goaltender Award after going 11-9-1-0 with 3 shutouts, a 2.01 GAA and .932 SV%. Her impressive display helped NAX finish in fourth place during the regular season.
Mercyhurst University is an NCAA Division I program competing in the College Hockey America (CHA) Conference. Mercyhurst is located in Erie, PA.
