Ben Hemmerling has signed an NHL Entry Level Contract with the 2023 Stanley Cup Champions, Vegas Golden Knights.
The Golden Knights selected the Sherwood Park, AB forward in the sixth round,177th overall at the 2022 NHL Draft.
Hemmerling joined the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) for the 2017/18 CSSHL U15 Prep season. In two seasons he would play 60 U15 Prep games, recording 21 goals and 68 assists. At the conclusion of the 2019 season, the Everett Silvertips would select Hemmerling in the third round, 49th overall a the 2019 WHL Draft. The following U16 Prep season he would lead his NAX team in scoring, while finishing third in the division, with 63 points in 34 games.
He would begin the 2020/21 U18 Prep season with the OHA Edmonton U18 Prep team, tallying eight points in two games, before joining the Silvertips. He would finish that season with 7 points in 22 WHL games.
In 2021/22 Hemmerling tallied 10 goals and 37 assists in 57 games. Last year the playmaker finished second on his team in assists (41) and third in points (62) in 55 games.
This season Hemmerling sits third in team scoring with 25 points in 24 games.
