Prairie Hockey Academy Blue (3) vs OHA Edmonton Black (5) U17 Prep
Cohen Friesen opened the scoring 1:40 into the game but two goals by Braydon Franks (2G, 1A) saw OHA Edmonton Black lead 2-1 after 20 minutes of play. Caleb Debruyne tied the game just 30 seconds into the second before Yihwan Joo (1G, 1A) and Emmett Jones responded for OHA Edmonton Black. Asher Watson would bring Prairie Blue within one midway through the third but a Calum Giese (1G, 3A) goal nearing the end of the third put the game out of reach.
South Alberta Hockey Academy (5) vs Edge School Gold (4) U17 Prep
Kingston Chisholm (2G) would score the first goal of the SAHA U17 inaugural season midway through the first before Edge School Gold grabbed a 4-1 advantage on goals from AJ Tarnowski, Dallin Antos (1G, 2A), Hudson Getzlaf (1G, 1A) and Keegan Bailey (1G, 1A). A Garrison Peck (2G) goal with 2:55 remaining in the second would give SAHA life and start a comeback that would ultimately result in a 5-4 win as Chishom, Jack Elliott (1G, 1A) and Peck all scored third period goals.
Prairie Hockey Academy Blue (4) vs OHA Edmonton Black (5/OT) U17 Prep
Caleb Debruyne (2G) gave Prairie Blue an early lead but four straight goals by Karson Kereliuk (1G, 1A), Brody Nest (1G, 1A), Casen Vadori, and Ben Shaw would see OHA Edmonton Black lead 4-1. Fernando Medina would score late in the second for Prairie Blue and Asher Watson and Debruyne would tie the game in the third to force overtime. In extra time Braydon Franks (1G, 1A) would give OHA Edmonton Black the 5-4 victory.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (7) vs Edge School (6) U15 Prep
The U15 Prep season started off with a bang as Edge School and the defending champions NAX combine for 13 goals. Blake Chorney (1G, 2A) and Thayne Wasyluk (2G, 1A) led the NAX offence while Cam Hoose (37/46) stopped 37 shots in net for the win. Brock England (2G) scored twice while Jack Bissoon (2A), Declan Cardiff (1G, 1A), Luke Jamieson (2A), and Ben Oliverio (1G, 1A) all recorded 2 points.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (5) vs North Shore Warriors (3) Female U18 Prep
Alix Walchuk (40/43) made 40 saves as Delta Black defeated North Shore 5-3 despite being outshot 43-19. Gracie Bagnall opened the scoring for Delta Black early in the first but it was North Shore who led after 20 thanks to goals from Maggie-Kate Fitzpatrick (1G, 1A) and Castilla Rubin. Eden Hamel and Gabriella Lee would score 36 seconds apart early in the second as Delta Black regained the lead heading into the third. Jaylah Bottle would tie the game midway through the third before Kira Bui (1G, 1A) re-gave Delta Black a late lead. An empty net goal by Niayah Morris (1G, 2A) put the game out of reach.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (9) vs Edge School (5) U15
Kaysun Brunham opened the scoring seven seconds in as NAX and Edge combined for 14 goals Friday night. Easton Ardnt (3G) and Easton Doran (2G) each had multi goals games for NAX while Kalen Miles (1G, 2A) added three points. Alex Han (2G) and Charlie Tobin (1G, 1A) led the way offensively for Edge in the loss.
