BWC Academy (1) vs Delta Hockey Academy (2) U17 AAA
Lincoln Arkinstall opened the scoring 2:44 into the first as Delta led 1-0 after 20. Leonardo Lee scored the lone second period goal as BWC Academy tied the game heading into the third. The game looked as though it was heading to overtime until Santiago Skinner scored with 1 second left on the clock to give Delta a 2-1 win. Lynden Mercier (17/18) made 17 saves in the win while Liam Kellett (33/35) was charged with the loss.
Prairie Hockey Academy (5) vs Edge School (7) U17 Prep
Eric Wagman (1G, 1A) gave Edge the lead just 1:14 into the game but it was Prairie who led 3-1 after 20 thanks to goals from Nixon Friesen (2G), Kade Kahovec and Bryden Wagner. Keegan de Sa (1G, 1A) scored 42 seconds into the second and Ashton McCann (2G) and Finn Howes (2G) scored 6 seconds apart as Edge pulled ahead 4-3. Friesen would tie the game just a few minutes later but Kyle Oakenfold (1G, 2A) restored the lead midway through the frame. McCann and Howes scored again in the first half of the third to increase the deficit. Hogan Hickman would get one back for Prairie just 36 seconds later but Adam Courchesne (25/30) finished with 25 shots to secure the Edge win.
STAR Hockey Academy (7) vs RHA Kelowna (5) U15 AAA
Kyle Schierling and Oliver Peck scored first period goals for RHA Kelowna while Daniel Trifunovic countered with a power play goal for STAR. Camden Freeman tied the game early in the second before Hayden Carpenter (1G, 1A) restored the RHA Kelowna lead midway through the frame. ET Kennedy (1G, 1A) tied the game with a power play goal but an Austin Schultz short handed marker put RHA Kelowna back on top. McKenzie Host (2G) scored back-to-back goals to open the third and give STAR their first lead of the game. Harrison Sharman tied the game briefly before Mason Olson (1G, 2A) scored the eventual game winner 56 seconds later. Seve Paladino (1G, 1A) added a late insurance marker to secure the STAR victory.
BWC Academy (6) vs Delta Hockey Academy (4) U15 Prep
Peter Banicevic scored with 2 seconds left in the first to give Delta a 1-0 lead. Kane Nicholas (2G) tied the game 1:52 into the second but Ryker Doka (2G) responded for Delta 48 seconds later. BWC Academy would reply with three straight as Kenzo Gibson, Cohen Baker (1G, 2A) and Logan Chang all found the back of the net. Doka would add his second late in the period to bring Delta within one heading into the third. Nicholas and Kristian Lima would score 35 seconds apart early in the third to put the game out of reach. Brady Oatman scored a consolation power play goal with one second remaining to round out the scoring.
Calgary International Hockey Academy (3) vs Edge School (4) U15 AAA
Edge scored three goals in a span of 4:23 as Brody Antignani (1G, 2A), Matteo Dufour and Cade Mazurski all found the back of the net. Brick McCord Cooper (2G, 1A) would get CIHA on the board 1:08 later and Joyesh Ghosh (1G, 1A) scored 2:31 into the second to bring his team within one. Zachary Pomeroy (1G, 1A) scored the eventual game winning goal midway through the second period. McCord Cooper would find the back of the net midway through the third to give Edge a scare but it wasn’t enough as Edge held on for a 4-3 win.
OHA Edmonton (3) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (9)U15 AAA
NAX raced out to a 2-0 lead as Jett Evans and Brady Bisaillon scored in the opening 4:15 of the game. OHA Edmonton would respond late in the period as MAtteo Gambetti scored a shorthanded and then power play goal. NAX would take over in the second as Jared Ryan, Malakai Andrews, Emmett Abel and Evans all found the back of the net. Mohamed Garcia would score 28 seconds into the third, Evans would complete the hattrick and Abel added his second as NAX continued to pour it on. Jaxson Weisgerber scored a late consolation goal for OHA Edmonton.
North Shore Warriors (5) vs RHA Kelowna (7) U17 AAA
A power play goal from Kaustav Pradeep put RHA Kelowna ahead 10:02 into the game. James McAllister and Aiden Andrews scored 1:59 apart midway through the second to extend the lead. Henry Lockart would get North Shore on the board with 3:05 left in the second. Bennett Macek scored 38 seconds into the third, kicking off a frenzy that saw each time score four times resulting in a 7-5 RHA Kelowna win. Nishaan Jauhol (2G) and Alexander McMillan (2G) each scored twice in the loss while Kesler Hamilton (1G, 3A) led RHA Kelowna with four points.
Northern Alberta Xtreme (4) vs OHA Edmonton (3) U15 Prep
Corbin Dunphy (2G) and Easton Arndt (1G, 1A) scored 49 seconds apart as NAX raced out to an early 2-0 lead. OHA Edmonton would tie the game with two goals in 35 seconds as Josh Frazer and Damian Anderson (2G) each found the back of the net. Dunphy would restore the NAX lead, scoring with 1:28 left in the opening period. Riley Brown (1G, 1A) scored his fourth goal of the young season 4:25 into the second to double the NAX lead. Anderson replied for OHA Edmonton with a power play goal with 36 seconds remaining in the second. Dawson Sheehan (23/26) and Owen Amyotte (49/53) held clean sheets in the third as NAX earned a 4-3 win.
Delta Hockey Academy White vs St. George’s School U15 AAA
Colby Walker (2G, 1A) scored twice and Ryder Pavlic (1G, 4A) led all skaters with 5 points as Delta White defeated St. George’s 9-2. Aarun Parmar (24/26) made 24 saves for the win while Hudson Waddell (65/74) faced 74 shots in the loss. Nick Hill and Liam McLean scored for St. George’s.
