The Portland Winterhawks have signed CSSHL student-athletes Cash Brebant and Hudson Sayers to WHL Scholarship and Development Agreements.
Brebant joined OHA Edmonton for the 2023/24 U15 Prep season. In 27 games the Fort McMurray, AB forward would record 13 goals and 18 assists to finish third in team scoring. Selected in the fifth round, 109th overall by the Winterhawks at the 2024 WHL Draft, Brebant will spend the 2024/25 CSSHL season with the OHA Edmonton U17 Prep team.
Selected in the eighth round, 175th overall by the Portland Winterhawks at the 2024 WHL Draft, Sayers played the 2023/24 U15 AAA season with the Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX). In 26 games the Edam, SK defender tallied 6 goals and 26 assists before adding 10 points in 5 playoff games as NAX captured the 2024 CSSHL U15 AAA Western Championships.
