Delta Hockey Academy Green (15) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (3) Female U18 Prep
Saya Earl (2G), Hayley Lee (2G, 1A), and Karington Mollin (2G, 1A) all scored twice, Molly Cole (1G, 3A) and Mikayla Totten (1G, 3A) each had three assists and all but one Delta Green skater recorded at least a single point as they defeated PMHA 15-3. Alia Drummond, Piper Miller and Jazmyn Oakins scored for PMHA in the loss. Jillian Mathews (12/15) was in net for the Delta Green win.
North Shore Warriors (6) vs St. Mary’s High School (4) Female U18 Prep
Brynn Cain (2G) scored twice in the first period as St. Mary’s led 2-0 after 20. Avery Wilson would get NSW on the board midway through the second before Sofia Pittis (2G) restored the two goal cushion 47 seconds later. Jaylah Bottle would score two minutes later as the second ended 3-2 St. Mary’s. Madison Mahovlich (1G, 1A) would tie the game 27 seconds into the third but Pittis would once again restore the lead just 39 seconds later. That would be the last time St. Mary’s would hold a lead as Bavneet Dhaliwahl tied the game and Emily Gerdevich and Elise Miller (1G, 1A) would score go ahead goals as NSW came back to earn a 6-4 win.
Shawnigan Lake School (4/OT) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) Female U18 Prep
Grace Cooper and Anya Porter scored first and second period goals for Shawnigan as they led 2-0 5:59 into the middle frame. Peyton Carter (2G) would respond for NAX, scoring her first two goals of the season in a span of 56 seconds. Larae Benoit’s (1G, 2A) first of the season would give NAX a late third period lead but Morgan Jackson (2G) would tie the game with 2:22 remaining. In overtime Jackson would score her fourth goal of the season to give Shawnigan a 4-3 win.
Delta Hockey Academy Black (2/SO) vs St. Mary’s Academy (1) Female U18 Prep
Alexis Howitt scored her first goal of the season 17:39 into the first and Alix Walchuk (33/34) would keep St. Mary’s off the board until Mia Faseruk tied the game with 5:10 remaining in regulation. After Walchuk and Mimi Ferreira (20/21) kept a clean overtime, a shootout was needed. Walchuk would stay hot, stopping all three St. Mary’s shooters and Eden Hamel would score the only goal Delta Black needed to secure a 2-1 shootout win.
RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna (4) vs Edge School (2) Female U18 Prep
Avaya McCann gave Edge an early lead but three unanswered first period goals from Chloe Primerano (2G, 1A) and Sage Babey (2G) gave RHA Kelowna a 3-1 lead after 20. Shannon Pearson would score the lone second period goal to bring Edge within one but Babey’s second of the game 4:39 into the third secured an RHA Kelowna victory. Farah Walker (23/25) and Megs Thiessen (42/46) were in net for their respective teams.
Okanagan Hockey Academy Black (0) vs RINK Hockey Academy Winnipeg (5) Female U18 Prep
Inhye Jang (21/21) made 21 saves and RHA Winnipeg fired 55 shots at Ryann Faulkner (50/55) in a 5-0 win. Kate Nechwediuk, Rowyn Street, Sydney Stibbard (2G, 1A), and Promise Belanger all scored for RHA Winnipeg in the win.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (3) vs South Alberta Hockey Academy (2) Female U18 Prep
After a scoreless first Kailey Wrigglesworth and Maddy Niesh scored for OHA in the second period. Brianna Finke brought SAHA within one midway through the third but Jada Wood scored the eventual game winner just 13 seconds later. Keyana Bert would bring SAHA back within one but Jorja Moore (32/34) shut the door the rest of the way for OHA. Taylor Cohen (21/24) made 21 saves in the loss.
