Edge Forward Signs with Portland

Edge School U18 Prep forward Nicholas Johnson has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement with the Portland Winterhawks.

Selected by Portland in the 10th round, 220th overall in the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft, Johnson is in his fourth season with the Calgary, AB based Edge School. He joined the program in 2018/19, playing for their U15 Prep team for two seasons, recording 43 points in 59 games.

Johnson would score five goals and add five assists last year with the Edge U16 Prep team last season, and is currently suiting up for their U18 Prep team, tallying 11 points in 6 games so far this season.
