A pair of Delta Hockey Academy U18 Prep teammates have committed to Canisius College.
Kobe DePedrina joined Delta ahead of the 2019/20 Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) U15 Prep season. In 29 games with Delta White the Abbotsford, BC defender recorded 2 assists. He would play four games in 2020/21 with the Delta U16 Prep team before spending the last two seasons with the Delta U18 Prep team. In 60 U18 Prep games DePedrina tallied 17 assists.
A forward from Surrey, BC Tyler Hansen joined Delta’s U15 team in 2019/20, finishing with eight points in 30 games. He would play alongside DePedrina in 2020/21 before suiting-up for the Delta U17 Prep team in 2021/22. That season Hansen would record 22 points in 32 regular season games, adding 3 goals in 5 playoff games as Delta captured the 2022 CSSHL U17 Prep Western Championships. This season Hansen played 28 U18 Prep games with Delta, recording 4 goals and 5 assists.
Located in Buffalo, NY, Canisius College is an ACHA Division I program competing in the Northeast Collegiate Hockey League (NECHL) Conference.
