The Prince George Cougars have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student athlete Keaton Dowhaniuk to a standard Western Hockey League (WHL) Player Agreement.
Dowhaniuk, 15, has attended OHA Edmonton the past two seasons, where he was racked up 56 points (9-47-56) in 55 career CSSHL Bantam Prep regular season games, along with adding one assist in one game with the OHA Edmonton Elite 15 team.
The Sherwood Park, Alta. product has recorded five points (2-4-5) in nine games a the BDO CSSHL Championships, where he was a part of the 2018 CSSHL Bantam Prep Championship team.
Dowhaniuk was named the 2019 CSSHL Bantam Prep Division Top Defenceman.
He was selected in the first round, third overall, by the Cougars at the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
