Calvert Named February CSSHL WHL Alumni of the Month

Former CSSHL and current Moose Jaw Warriors forward Atley Calvert has been named the February CSSHL WHL Alumni Player of the Month.

In 12 WHL games in February Calvert finished with 13 goals and 14 assists, including hat-tricks against the Edmonton Oil Kings and Spokane Chiefs. Calvert recorded at least a single point in every game in February, with eight of those games being multi-point games.

Calvert joined Prairie Hockey Academy in 2017/18, tallying 53 points in 40 U15 Prep games. The following season Prairie would join the CSSHL at the U16 Prep division. Calvert would lead his team in goals (24) while finishing second in points (41) in 35 games.

During the 2019/20 season the Moose Jaw, SK product played 13 WHL games with the Moose Jaw Warriors, tallying 3 points.

Undrafted to the WHL, Calvert would play 24 games with the Warriors in 2020/21 during the COVID-19 shortened season, finishing with 2 goals and 7 assists.

In 2021/22 Calvert would finish sixth in team scoring with 40 points in 65 games. Last season was a breakout year for the Warriors forward as he finished third in team scoring with 73 points, while leading his team with 40 goals in 67 games.

In 58 games this season Calvert has already set career highs with 41 goals and 82 points. He sits second on his team and 12th in the WHL in points, while his 41 goals are also second on his team and sixth in the league.
