The Kamloops Blazers have signed BWC Academy student-athlete Ty Bonkowski to a Western Hockey League (WHL) Scholarship and Development Agreement.
Bonkowski has spent the last two Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) seasons with BWC Academy. The Richmond, BC forward led his U15 team in scoring during the 2020/21 season, finishing in fourth in league scoring with 48 points in 29 games.
This season Bonkowski would once again lead his team in scoring, tallying 32 points in 27 U15 Prep games.
The Blazers selected Bonkowski in the sixth round, 130th overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.
