RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna student-athlete Maya Serdachny has committed to the University of Connecticut for the 2023/24 season.
Serdachny joined RHA Kelowna for the 2021/22 Female U18 Prep Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) season. The Edmonton, AB defender would record 4 goals and 21 assists in 26 games that season. She would add two goals and five assists in five playoff games as RHA Kelowna captured the 2022 CSSHL Western Championship.
This season Serdachny would finish second among all defenseman in league scoring with 30 points in 25 games. She would produce five points in five playoff games as RHA Kelowna won back-to-back CSSHL Western Championships.
Serdachny would represent Team Canada U18 at the 2022 World U18 Championship’s, playing in five games as Canada captured a gold medal.
Located in Storrs, CT, the University of Connecticut is an NCAA Division I program that competes in the Hockey East Conference.
