Baxter Set-to Join Ohio State

Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athlete Jordan Baxter has committed to Ohio State University for the 2023/24 season.

Baxter spent three seasons in the CSSHL with the Delta Hockey Academy Female U18 Prep team. During the 2020/21 season the Coquitlam, BC forward would tally three goals in six games. The following season she would lead all skaters with 27 goals while finishing third in points with 41 in 27 games. She would add 10 points in 5 playoff games as Delta made the finals at the 2022 CSSHL Western Championships. That season Baxter would represent Team Canada at the U18 Women’s World Championship. In six games she would finish with one goal and one assist as Team Canada won gold.

The 2022/23 campaign would see Baxter lead her team in scoring and finish eighth among all skaters with 36 points in 26 games, while recording seven points in three playoff games at the 2023 CSSHL Western Championships. Baxter would again represent Team Canada at the U18 Women’s World Championship, tallying two assists in five games as Canada won back-to-back gold medals.

Located in Columbus, OH, Ohio State is an NCAA Division I hockey team competing in the Western Collegiate Hockey Association (WCHA) conference.
