The Portland Winterhawks have signed South Alberta Hockey Academy (SAHA) netminder Marek Schlenker to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The Winterhawks originally selected the Okotoks, AB netminder in the eighth round, 170th overall at the 2021 WHL Draft.
Schlenker is in his first season in the CSSHL with the SAHA U18 Prep team. In 11 games he has recorded an 8-2-0-1 record with a 2.34 GAA and .930 SV%.
