Former Delta Hockey Academy defenceman Ethan Samson has signed an NHL Entry Level Contract with the Philadelphia Flyers.
Samson spent two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League with Delta. In 2017/18 he would play 30 U15 Prep games with Delta Green, recording 20 points. The Prince George Cougars would go on to select Samson in the third round, 65th overall in the 2018 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft. Samson would return to Delta for the 2018/19 U16 Prep season, recording 24 points in 33 games.
In 2019/20 Samson would play one game for the Delta U18 Prep team before joining the Cougars for 61 games that season. Now in his fourth season with the team, Samson has recorded 89 points in 179 WHL games. The Flyers selected the Delta, BC product in the sixth round, 174th overall at the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.
