Northern Alberta Xtreme (8) vs Indigenous Sports Academy (0) U17 Prep
NAX scored three first period goals, one in the second, and four in the third as they defeated ISA 8-0 Thursday night. Jaxen Gauchier (2G) and Eric Giesbrecht (2G) each scored twice while Finn Kallay (1G, 1A), Lukas Kaplan (1G, 3A) and Brayden Klimpkie (1G, 2A) led all skaters with three points. Luke Powell (1G, 1A) also scored for NAX in the win. Jordan Switzer (26/26) stopped all 26 shots he faced to record the shutout.
Prairie Hockey Academy (3) vs Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (1) U17 Prep
Owen Stewart opened the scoring for PMHA just 34 seconds in but Gage Nagel (2G) would tie the game midway through the period. After a scoreless second, Noah Thul and Nagel would each add third period markers as PHA defeated PMHA 3-1. Cameron Beisal (37/38) was in net for PHA, while Piet Mierau (53/56) suffered defeat in net for PMHA.
Okanagan Hockey Academy (7) vs Notre Dame (3) U18 Prep
A busy first period saw OHA lead 3-2 after 20 minutes of play, despite Notre Dame firing just 6 shots on net. But the second period would see OHA grab control of the game as they would score three unanswered, plus another marker 51 seconds into the third. Notre Dame would find the back of the net once more but would be unable to mount a comeback. Grady Hope (1G, 2A), Kane Kennedy (1G, 2A)m Emmett Nordin (1G, 2A), and Jonny Timmons (2G, 1A) would all record three point nights in the win for OHA. Ryan Zabchuk (2G, 1A) would play a part in all three Notre Dame goals.
