Calvin Gustafson (1G, 1A), Jase McNichol, and Cater Ellsworth (1G, 2A) all scored in a span of seven minutes as Notre Dame grabbed a 3-0 lead. Carson Kraft would respond for Prairie just 15 seconds after the Ellsworth goal as the game entered the second 3-1. Kade McIvor would restore the Notre Dame three goal advantage just 20 seconds into the second and Riley Robert would respond for Prairie in the third but ultimately Notre Dame would win 4-2.
Prairie Hockey Academy (4/SO) vs Notre Dame (3) U15 Prep
John Gall (41/44) made 41 stops and stopped both Notre Dame shootout shooters as Prairie Hockey Academy earned their first win of the season. Jackson Haugan opened the scoring 2:06 in before Notre Dame tied it eight minutes later with a Brodyn Pladson goal. Chaunde Jack and Kane Domres (1G, 1A) would score second period goals as PHA led 3-1 heading into the third. Loic Nasreddine and Carson Hiebert would score three minutes apart to force overtime, and eventually a shootout. Domres and Cohen Hayes would each score on their chances to lift Prairie to the 4-3 victory.
Indigenous Sports Academy (0) vs Prairie Hockey Academy (2) U17 Prep
It took until 7:44 left in the game before either team would get on the scoresheet as Noah Friskie beat Chauncy Jack (35/36) to give Prairie the 1-0 lead. Austin Wentz would add an empty net goal and Cameron Beisal (29/29) stopped all 29 shots he faced as PHA would defeat ISA 2-0.
International Hockey Academy (1) vs Northern Alberta Xtreme (3) U18 Prep
Gavin Garland’s goal with 15 seconds left in the first saw IHA lead 1-0 after 20. Reis Nyland would score the lone second period goal to tie the game heading into the third. Landon Hanson (2G) would add two goals, including an empty netter, in the final minutes of the third as NAX defeated IHA 3-1. Vaughn Kaliel (25/26) made 25 stops and recorded an assist in the win.
St. George’s School (1) vs Yale Hockey Academy (5) U17 Prep
After a scoreless first Levi Benson (2G, 1A) would give Yale the lead 2:13 into the second. Bodie Jerome would extend the lead 10 minutes later before Nemo Kalola cut the deficit to one. Benson, Jack MacFarlane and Ilija Majkic (1G, 3A) all scored in the third for Yale as they beat St. George’s 5-1. Domenik McInenly (29/30) made 29 saves in the win.
