Former RINK Hockey Academy Kelowna student-athlete Alex Edwards made his WHL debut on December 29, 2021 after he signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement (SPA) with the Victoria Royals earlier in the day.
Originally undrafted in the WHL Draft, Edwards spent two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with RINK Kelowna playing for their U15 Prep team in 2019/20, and their U15 team the previous season. In 57 games the Grand Forks, BC forward scored 23 goals and added 29 assists.
