Former NAX Netminder Signs with Royals

Former Northern Alberta Xtreme (NAX) netminder Tyler Palmer has signed a Western Hockey League (WHL) Standard Player Agreement with the Victoria Royals.

Palmer spent two seasons with the Xtreme from 2018-2020. In 2018/19 he would lead the Xtreme to a U16 Prep CSSHL League Championship, playing all five playoff games. The following year he would play for their U18 Prep team as NAX finished the regular season in first place, before the start of the COVID-19 pandemic ended the leagues playoffs.

He would join the Spruce Grove Saints for the 2020/21 Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) season, playing in 13 games.

The Fernie, BC native was originally selected by the Spokane Chiefs in the tenth round of the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.
