A pair of Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athletes in Sophia Adamek and Sienna McClinchey have committed to Liberty University for the 2023/24 season.
Adamek has spent the last four seasons in the CSSHL with the Shawnigan Lake School Female U18 Prep team. In 78 regular season games the Victoria, BC defender recorded 46 points, including a career high 20 in 24 games during the 2021/22 season. Adamek added an additional 11 points in 9 playoff games, including 5 during the 2023 playoffs as Shawnigan advanced to the finals CSSHL Western Championship Finals.
McClinchey joined Edge School Female U18 Prep for the 2022/23 season. The Millverville, AB forward would tally 5 goals and 4 assists in 29 regular season games. She would add one assist in four playoff games at the 2023 CSSHL Western Championships.
Located in Lynchburg, VA, Liberty University is an ACHA Division I program.
