The Prince George Cougars have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Jaren Brinson to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Brinson, 16, has attended the Edge School the past two seasons, most recently competing on their U18 Prep team, where he posted 34 points (8-26-34) in 32 games, as well as adding one assist in one game at the 2020 BDO CSSHL Championships.
The Airdrie, AB product spent the 2018-19 season with Edge’s U15 Prep team, collecting 11 points (3-8-11) in 28 games, while also picking up two assists in five games as an affiliate with their U16 Prep team.
The Cougars selected the defenceman in the second round, 36th overall, at the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft.
