Former Delta Hockey Academy student-athlete Arshdeep Bains has signed a National Hockey League (NHL) contract with the Vancouver Canucks.
The Surrey, BC forward spent the 2015/16 season in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the Delta Hockey Academy U15 Prep team. In 25 games Bains would score 15 goals and add 13 assists while being named the CSSHL Most Sportsmanlike player.
In 2018/19 Bains would join the Red Deer Rebels in the Western Hockey League (WHL), adding 18 points in 63 games. He would follow that up with 51 points in 63 games and 21 in 23 in 2020/21. This season Bains leads all WHL skaters with 60 assists and 94 points through 60 games.
