The Moose Jaw Warriors have signed former CSSHL student-athlete Benson Hirst to a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement.
The Lac du Bonnet, MB defenseman joined Pilot Mound Hockey Academy (PMHA) for the 2022/23 CSSHL U15 Prep season. In 27 games he would record 8 goals and 20 assists leading to the Warriors selecting him in the ninth round, 181st overall at the 2023 WHL Draft.
The following U17 Prep campaign he produced 16 goals and 22 assists in 30 games with Pilot Mound. He would join Prairie Hockey Academy for the 2024/25 CSSHL U18 Prep season, producing 25 points in 24 games. Midway through the season he would make the jump to the MJHL, playing 21 games and tallying 10 points with the Northern Manitoba Blizzard. He would add 2 goals in 10 playoff games as the Blizzard captured the 2025 MJHL Championship.
