University of Massachusetts Adds Abbotsford, BC Forward

The University of Massachusetts has added Abbotsford, BC forward Tyson Dyck for the 2022/23 season.

Dyck spent two seasons in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with BWC Academy. He joined the program in 2018/19, recording a team high 54 points in 30 U15 Prep games. At the conclusion of the season, the Tri-City Americans would select him in the seventh round, 143rd overall at the 2019 Western Hockey League (WHL) Draft.

He would once again lead his team in scoring in 2019/20, this time recording 40 points in 36 U18 Prep games.

In 2020/21 Dyck would join the Cranbrook Bucks for the 2020/21 British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) season recording five points in six games. He would return to the Bucks in 2021/22, finishing with a team high 75 points in 54 games, good enough for fourth in league scoring. Dyck’s impressive season would earn him BCHL All-Rookie Team and BCHL First Team All-Star honours.
