Former OHA Edmonton student-athlete Liam Reed has signed a WHL Scholarship and Development Agreement with the Portland Winterhawks, making his debut with the team on November 16.
A defenseman from Edmonton, AB, Reed spent the 2023/24 CSSHL season with the OHA Edmonton U15 Prep team. In 27 games he would post 12 goals and 23 assists, finishing second in team scoring with 35 points. The Winterhawks would select him in the fourth round, 87th overall at the 2024 WHL Draft.
Reed has spent the 2025/26 season in the AJHL with the Bonnyville Pontiacs, recording 4 assists in 16 games.
