The Saskatoon Blades have signed Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Tanner Molendyk to a Western Hockey League Standard Player Agreement.
Molendyk, 15, attended the Yale Hockey Academy this past season, appearing in 27 games with their U15 Prep team, collecting 55 points (9-46-55) along the way. The 5-foot-10 defenceman also registered six points (2-4-6) in just two games at the 2020 BDO CSSHL Championships.
The McBride, B.C. product was named the 2020 CSSHL U15 Prep Division Top Defenceman.
Molendyk was selected by the Blades in the first round, fifth overall, at the 2020 WHL Bantam Draft.
