Lane to Join Northern Michigan Next Season

Former Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) student-athlete Kaeden Lane has committed to Northern Michigan University for the 2022/23 season.

Lane spent two seasons in the CSSHL with BWC Academy. In 2016/17 Lane finished with a U16 Prep best 2.30 Goals Against Average (GAA) on way to being named the U16 Prep Divisions Top Goaltender and helping BWC Academy capture a CSSHL U16 Prep League Championship. He would spend the following season with their U18 Prep team, once again winning the Divisions Top Goaltender award while finishing with the best GAA (1.45) and Save Percentage (.946%).

The Burnaby, BC native joined the Grande Prairie Storm in the Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) in 2018/19, playing there for two seasons. In 2020/21 he would move to the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) with the Penticton Vees, leading the BCHL with a 1.13 GAA and .951 SV% in 16 games, while recording 5 shutouts. In 17 games this season, Lane has a 2.03 GAA, .910 SV% and 3 shutouts.

Northern Michigan University is an NCAA program located in Marquette, Michigan. The team competes in the Central Collegiate Hockey Association (CCHA).
