Lajoie Newest Oil Kings Assistant Coach

The Edmonton Oil Kings have hired Serge Lajoie as the team’s new assistant coach and manager of player development.

Lajoie has spent the last three seasons as head coach in the Canadian Sport School Hockey League (CSSHL) with the OHA Edmonton U18 Prep team. Overall Lajoie had a 36-33-8 record in his three CSSHL seasons.

Prior to joining OHA Edmonton, Lajoie spent time as a head coach in the Western Hockey League (WHL) with the Kamloops Blazers, U SPORTS with the University of Alberta, and Alberta Colleges Athletic Conference (ACAC) with N.A.I.T. Lajoie has experience coaching at both the provincial and national levels with Team Alberta and Hockey Canada.

The Bonnyville, AB played his junior hockey split between the Melville Millionaires, Blazers and St. Albert Saints, before spending five seasons with University of Alberta before a professional career in Germany.
