Jomha to attend and play NCAA hockey for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute

 

Three year Canadian Sport School Hockey League student athlete Aliya Jomha has committed to attend and play NCAA hockey for Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York next season. 

During the 2019-20 campaign, the Edmonton, Alta product laced up for the Edge School’s Female U18 Prep squad where she recorded 15 goals and 30 assists (15-30-45) in 24 regular season games. 

During the 2020 BDO CSSHL Championships, the 2002 born forward netted four goals and two assists (4-2-6) in five playoffs games to help her team capture the Female Prep title. 

Prior to joining the Edge’s female program, Jomha played two seasons with the Northern Alberta Xtreme Female U18 Prep team where she scored 24 goals and 18 helpers (24-18-42) in 22 regular season games. 

In 73 game CSSHL career, Jomha registered 43 goals and 51 assists (43-51-94).
